Shropshire Council Arts Grants
The new Shropshire Council Arts Grants scheme has now been launched and is open for applications. Please see below: Application Form, Application Criteria and Guidance Sheet.
Please note there will be two grant rounds throughout the year:
- Round One, deadline will be 8th March each year (decision by 19th April).
- Round Two, deadline will be 6th September each year (decision by 18th October).
If you require support or advice in completing your application, please contact the relevant Arts Development Officer at least two weeks prior to the application deadline. Please Contact: Jenny Henrywood if you are based in South Shropshire, Sue Goodwin if you are based in the Central area (Shrewsbury) and Alexa Pugh if you are based in North Shropshire. IMPORTANT: Changes to Grant Criteria
Shropshire Council has recently given Oswestry and District Arts Association £2'500, to support local artists and arts groups in the Oswestry area.
To avoid duplication of funding in the Oswestry area, the Shropshire Council Arts Grant Scheme criteria has been changed, from immediate effect.
Applicants are no longer able to apply for funding from both Oswestry and District Arts Association and the Shropshire Council Arts Grant Scheme. Applicants can only apply to one of these grant schemes in the year.
If you do apply for funding from both grant schemes, your application will be not be assessed and you will not be eligible for funding.

When you apply for funding from the Shropshire Council Arts Grants you will be required to have a number of policies. Templates and guidance for these are on the Toolkits and Policies page on the main menu. If you have any questions on adopting these policies please contact an Arts Development Officer for help and guidance.
